  1. Stretch!

Stretching regularly can help improve your body posture, flexibility and overall balance. Conducting stretches can combat poor posture as they loosen muscles and ease tension in the body. Poor posture can lead to lower back pain if not corrected soon enough. Some recommended stretches to improve posture are pectoral stretches, doorway stretch or the hip flexor stretch. It is also important to remember that many of these stretches are simple can be done relatively anywhere. You should aim to stretch a few times a day to achieve the greatest results. A simple 5-minute stretch session twice a day is sufficient to improve posture over time.

2. Work Comfortably

When you are sitting at a desk for long work hours, you want be sure that you are sitting in a way that does not compromise your health.  To sit properly you want to make sure your lower back is well supported. To do this you can use a lumbar pillow or a cushion on your chair, which should be placed by your lower back. Also, keep your feet flat on the floor whilst having your ankles placed in front of your knees. Last but not least, remember to avoid sitting in one place or position for long periods of time.

3. Sleep Properly

We spend quite a bit of time each day getting sleep, thus it is important to ensure we are doing it without sabotaging our body structure. The correct lying position begins with finding a mattress that meets your needs. Firm mattresses are recommended as they support your spines structure.
