Chelsea began her education at McMaster University, where she earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience in 2013. Instead of heading off to graduate school to continue into the realm of psychology, she took a different turn to enable her to fuse her love for exercise, nutrition and wellness with her fascination of how emotion affected human behavior. She moved forward with her study of nutrition at the University of Guelph where she fast tracked her way through their undergraduate Human Nutrition Applied Bachelors program and then continued full force into an accelerated Masters and Internship program. After graduating with her Masters of Applied Nutrition (MAN) her ambition and drive to help others led her to open up her own private practice, MC Dietetics, only a month following her graduation. Since then she expanded MC Dietetics into two cities and has been enjoying helping as many people as she can reach be successful with making changes to their nutrition and lifestyle ever since.
Chelsea has worked with clients from all walks of life and with all different goals and challenges. Her areas of expertise include sports nutrition, weight loss and macros, digestive disorders, food intolerances, emotional and disturbed eating and meal planning. While those are her specialties, she has also worked with various other cases, from diabetes to pregnancy and child nutrition to general well-being. She strives to provide her experience, knowledge and heart to everyone who walks through her door and is struggling with their nutrition.
At her practice, Chelsea believes in a balance nutritional lifestyle and how changes can be incorporated into her client’s lives, rather than having clients uproot their life to try to make adjustments. Extremes are not sustainable and we want you to achieve your goals and keep them going because you enjoy the process, it fits your life and it works for you and your unique case. With her psychology background, she believes that the mental aspect of things is critical to examine and consider how we feel emotionally and the total satisfaction we get from our food will forever be a key player in longevity of any lifestyle.
