I’m a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Registered Acupuncturist since 2020! I am excited to start my career in promoting the art of Acupuncture and Eastern healing philosophy!
I grew up with an interest due to my personal exposure with Traditional Chinese Medicine. During my upbringing I experiencing a neck injury from a fall, since then I’ve had first hand experience with the healing effects of acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. This planted a seed of interest, which eventually lead to a passion and transpired into an endless journey to pursue the art of healing.
I graduated with a B.A. in psychology from York University. I then decided to further pursue my studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Humber College, which is the first government funded institution offering this program. I was ecstatic to be a part of the growing field!
While at Humber, I clocked over 600 clinical hours and treated countless patients throughout various clinics in the GTA! This widespread exposure had brought valuable insights in treating various conditions such as; Musculo-skeletal injuries, Menstrual Cramps, Headaches, anxiety, insomnia, whiplash injuries etc..
I had attended over 40 hours of continuing education courses including Dr. Chuang’s adaptation of YNSA (Yamamoto’s New Scalp Acupuncture Style.) as well another 18 hours of Dr. Wen’s Scalp Acupuncture. These Scalp Acupuncture workshops focused on micro-systems that are projected on the scalp. Both courses had a particular emphasis on neurological conditions. Since then, I frequently use these techniques as part of my tool set to treat patients with successful results.
In my spare time, I volunteer with an after school program affiliated with Community Living York South, where I mentor and act as a positive role model for people with autism. I love snowboard in the winter and have an unhealthy obsession with the Toronto Maple Leafs!
Since Graduation and becoming an active registered member of the CTCMPAO (College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner Association of Ontario). I have launched my career as a R.Ac at the Massage Addict as well as my private practice. I am excited to join The Health First Group Wellness Centre and look forward to our journey of healing together!
