Dr. Manish Patel
Chiropractor in Mississauga

Dr. Manish Patel began his post secondary education at the University of Toronto in Mississauga where he completed his BSc in Physiology. After completing his studies at UTM, he was accepted at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.

His clinical internship included rotations with the Rose Bowl Aquatics team in Pasadena; the California State University Center of Achievement for the Physically Disabled, the Being Alive HIV Clinic in West Hollywood, the Salvation Army Shelter in Corona as well as colleges, universities and seniors health centres in Southern California. After completing his studies in 1999 Dr. Patel returned to the GTA. He gained valuable rehabilitation experience in several multidisciplinary clinics before taking over at The Health First Group.

Dr. Manish Patel combines evidence-based chiropractic care with a wellness approach to help his patients recover and prevent future recurrences of pain. While pain reduction is always a focus, He uses his knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics to address illness and injury from a mechanical point of view. He focuses on restoring form and function to the body, and combines treatment with exercise and healthy living tips to help patients not only regain pre-illness or injury status, but reach new health and fitness related goals.

Oleksandr Klymenko, R.M.T., DOMP
Registered Osteopath

Oleksandr is both a Massage Therapist and an Osteopathic Manual Practioner. He is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario and the Ontario Federation of Osteopathic Professionals. His goal is to facilitate healing and wellness by helping the body to be more structurally aligned by practicing massage and osteopathy in adults, infants and children. Oleksandr is knowledgeable in various techniques of massage and osteopathic therapies, including neuromuscular techniques, orthopaedic massage, myofascial release techniques, craniosacral therapy, visceral therapy and manual lymphatic drainage. He specializes in treating back pain, frozen shoulders, knee pain, headaches, migraines, dizziness, nausea, digestive problems (IBS, Crohn’s disease, gastro intestinal), respiratory problems, peripheral nerve problems (sciatic pain, thoracic outlet syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome) irritability and problems of balance to name a few. He has extensive knowledge of anatomy, body structure and function of the human body and this enables him to provide his clients with feedback about their body and how to improve their well being using different methods of exercise and diet. Joseph Kim
Registered Massage Therapist

A graduate from Kikkawa College, Joseph has mastered Swedish and Myofascial techniques. Joseph has also studied Contemporary Acupuncture at McMaster University, Deep Tissue Therapy, Hot Stone Massage and Active Release. Over the years, Joseph has worked with clients of all ages and varying abilities, including seniors, expectant mothers and business professionals. Whether for general relaxation or to address a specific issue, his goal is to work with and educate his clients, designing each session to meet their needs most effectively and provide a comfortable experience.

Bhargavi Patel
Social Worker

Bhargavi career spans over more than 12 years of social work practice. She has worked with individuals, families, groups and the community. Her Master of Social Work education along with ongoing training, has broadened her skills, knowledge and kept her current. Her experience started with community development, and then furthered by working with individuals and families experiencing violence in intimate relations. It transitioned to more clinical support in the Health, and later in the Mental Health Field. Her education, experience and ongoing trainings help her to provide you with the best possible service.

With a belief that hope is very important for a person to attain their personal goals, Bhargavi is passionate to work with you to restore hope. Bhargavi strives to provide a comfortable and safe environment, with a guided support for self-reflection. Self-reflection helps you in exploring the realities that hinder in reaching the personal goals and live a happy and fulfilling life.

Bhargavi is committed to providing you with culturally competent services. Her approach is strength and empowerment based. She uses CBT and mindfulness practice for therapeutic intervention. She employs the best practice method and works with a recovery-based approach in her practice.

Margaret Kaminski
Registered Massage Therapist

I have been registered with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario (CMTO) since 1999. I was trained at Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto completing 2 years program. This 2200-hour program gave me knowledge of anatomy, pathology, neurology and the hand – on techniques.

With my training and years of experience I have worked with number of people and conditions. Many of my patients have been involved in Motor Vehicle Accident. I have experience in a rehabilitation facility for people with MS, cancer, fibromyalgia, TMJ as well as stroke.

I have been involved with some Workers Wellness Program through chair massage for employees, which proved to increase energy and productivity among the workers.

I specialize in deep tissue treatments without the discomfort. I am also comfortable offering relaxation treatments. I believe that quality treatment involves full attentions and commitment from both the therapist and patient. My goal is to meet each patient’s specific needs through one – on – one interaction during treatment session.

My approach to Massage Therapy and sport injury treatments is to promote health and wellness through preventative care. I look forward to helping restore people’s health and well being.

As part of my commitments to excellence, I am continually updating my education by taking courses to enhance my skills as a therapist.

Dorothy Kazula
Registered Acupuncturist

Dorothy Kazula B.Sc., Doctor of Acupuncture. After receiving her B.Sc from the University of Toronto, Dorothycompleted a 4-year Chinese Medicine program at The Michener Institute in Toronto, Ontario. Compelled to be immersed in the origins of Chinese medicine Dorothy pursued post-graduate studies at the Xi’an T.C.M. Hospital in Xian, China.

Dorothy treats many different conditions ranging from musculoskeletal disorders to women’s reproductive wellness including enhancing fertility, pregnancy, birth and postpartum care. Working in collaboration with other health professionals such as physicians, naturopaths and physiotherapists Dorothy is able to provide comprehensive care for her clients.

Patients come to me feeling stressed, helpless and unaware of their body and its processes. After we begin treatment they start to feel confident and more in control and begin to make better choices that influence their health and well-being. Making a difference in people’s lives is the most rewarding aspect of my job.
