Homeopathy FAQs

/Homeopathy FAQs

Q: How does homeopathy work?

A: In homeopathy, the entire picture of the individual, not just the medical illness, is the basis of treatment. Our homeopaths carefully select both the remedy and potency that is the best fit for the uniqueness of the client. The correctness and effectiveness of the remedy is evaluated by its impact on the entire state of the individual.

Q: Is a homeopath qualified to prescribe?

A: Yes, our homeopaths have 3 years of college training where they study both clinical and theoretical components required by the College of Homeopaths to be able to provide any prescriptions.

Q: How quickly do homeopathic treatments work?

A: This depends on the specific condition and the severity of symptoms. Emotional and acute conditions often respond within minutes to the medicine. Chronic conditions like arthritis may take longer and/or more frequent doses to return to the desired state of well being. Diet, lifestyle, anxiety, and medical history may also play a role in how quickly a patient will respond.

Q: Is homeopathic medicine safe for my children? If so, how do I calculate the dosage?

A: Homeopathic medicines are ideal for use with children, especially due to their inherent safety. The correct dosing for children will be on the labeling; if it is not you can safely use the normal recommended amount because the dose is not dependent on the body weight.
