Dr. Manish Patel
Chiropractor
Dr. Manish Patel began his academic journey at the University of Toronto, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physiology before pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.
During his clinical internship, Dr. Patel gained hands-on experience across a variety of settings, working with the Rose Bowl Aquatics team in Pasadena, the California State University Center of Achievement for the Physically Disabled, the Being Alive HIV Clinic in West Hollywood, and the Salvation Army Shelter in Corona. He also provided care at colleges, universities, and senior health centers throughout Southern California.
In 1999, after completing his studies, Dr. Patel returned to the Greater Toronto Area, where he built extensive rehabilitation experience working in multidisciplinary clinics. In 2006, he took over Health First Chiropractic Group in Port Credit and began expanding services, bringing in talented therapists, and transforming the practice into The Health First Group—a leading multidisciplinary clinic offering Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Osteopathy, and, of course, Chiropractic.
Today, under the banner of The Health First Group, there are two locations: Mississauga Heartland and Etobicoke, both dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.
Dr. Patel has instilled one guiding philosophy within his team: a collaborative approach to healthcare, where many therapists work together with a shared goal—your well-being. While reducing pain is always a priority, his approach focuses on addressing musculoskeletal issues from a mechanical perspective, ensuring long-term recovery and injury prevention. After all, “It’s all about how we treat you.”
I have been registered with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario (CMTO) since 1999. I was trained at Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto completing 2 years program. This 2200-hour program gave me knowledge of anatomy, pathology, neurology and the hand – on techniques.
With my training and years of experience I have worked with number of people and conditions. Many of my patients have been involved in Motor Vehicle Accident. I have experience in a rehabilitation facility for people with MS, cancer, fibromyalgia, TMJ as well as stroke.
I have been involved with some Workers Wellness Program through chair massage for employees, which proved to increase energy and productivity among the workers.
I specialize in deep tissue treatments without the discomfort. I am also comfortable offering relaxation treatments. I believe that quality treatment involves full attentions and commitment from both the therapist and patient. My goal is to meet each patient’s specific needs through one – on – one interaction during treatment session.
My approach to Massage Therapy and sport injury treatments is to promote health and wellness through preventative care. I look forward to helping restore people’s health and well being.
As part of my commitments to excellence, I am continually updating my education by taking courses to enhance my skills as a therapist.
